Will it have a weird smell that you have to put up with actually on your nose?

Will it come with an absurd method of dispensing or application?

Well I’ve tried and tested a fair few foundations (lost count) and the following are my current go-to choices for my oily skin.

Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot

Emmy loves the Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot Super Translucent Matifying Powder, £12.00 and is currently on a 3 for 2 at Boots. Emmy says it keeps her foundation in place and shine free all day, and as it comes in this handy pot with a mirror, it’s excellent for touch ups during the day!

coconut oil

Coconut Oil for… well, everything!

Carrie uses Coconut Oil for practically everything! We were all amazed at the things you can use it for, so we all promptly ran out and bought our own pots! She uses it as a night mask (hair and face!) on her scalp, lips, eyebrows, as a primer, make up remover, scars and as it’s antibacterial and antimicrobial it can be used to treat all manner of skin ailments! Oh and of course you can cook with it!

Urban Decay Naked 2

Fiona’s Hero Product is also by Urban Decay! The Naked 2 palette is a classic with a range of mattes and shimmers, and neutrals right through black for the perfect day to night looks! £37 may sound a lot for an eyeshadow palette, but with 12 colours at just under £3.10 each it’s an absolute bargain!

B&B pret

Bumble & Bumble Pret a Powder

Lucy can’t go a day without Bumble and Bumble’s Pret a Powder! It’s a style extender, dry shampoo, volumiser and texturiser in one tiny bottle. Lucy has mega fine hair that needs washing everyday but needs help with texture and lift and it’s an absolute fringe saver! The bottle looks small and the price tag is big, £21.50, but a little goes a long way and it will last a good few months.
