Old, unused make up? Pass it on…

Simply slapping some tinted moisturiser on followed by a few coats of mascara can really perk you up when you’re feeling ‘bleurgh’. And if you have an important meeting, or just need some stronger armour, a full face with manicured nails can create a great shield of confidence.

So, imagine if you couldn’t do any of that. Imagine having to decide between spending your last few pounds on your concealer or a bag of pasta.

Most of us haven’t ever had to make a decision like that but lots of people do, every day. As people’s pay packets and benefits are squeezed tighter and tighter, food banks usage is at a record high.

However, it’s not just food that people are in need of. Lots of food banks and support organisations also offer clothes and toiletries.

So, here at Manchester Beauty Club, we have teamed up with Emmeline’s Pantry, a food bank for women and children, to pass on our unwanted makeup, skincare, haircare and toiletries. They also accept products that have been used.

The feedback has been great and the women who use the service love that they can now pick up a new nail polish or can of dry shampoo that can help to brighten up their week a bit.
If you are Manchester based, then feel free to get in touch with them if you have anything you’d like to donate, or reach out to a local food bank near you.
