MCRBC – Autumn Edit

You dust off your woolen coat from the back of the wardrobe and try to find your favourite checked scarf. A chill fills the air and your walk has become brisk, leaves dress your path… Can it really be 7am and still dark outside?!

Autumn is here!

So while you’re checking if your phone has automatically gone back an hour, we’ve pulled together our faves for autumn.

The Berry Lip

For some of us this is a bi-annual trend. Our current (currant, wehay!) choices are –

Nars – Velvet Matte Lip Pencil – Train Bleu – £19

Long lasting, without drying and in the pencil form it acts as a lip liner and all over colour in one.

Rimmel – Lasting Finish by Kate Moss – 30 – £5.49

Great colour and staying power for a creamy textured lipstick. Vanilla-esque scent, yum!

Cheat That Radiant Glow

With it getting chilly your skin can get a little parched and loose some of that lovely summer glow we’ve been working so hard at maintaining. Along with amping up your moisturiser the best cheat to a fresh face is a radiant primer –

Bourjois – Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer – £10.99
Illamasqua – Radiance Veil – £32.99

The Autumnal Eye

Aubergine, teal, copper, maroon, warm or cool toned you can always get away with a little colour or a heavy smokey eye at this time of year.

Sleek – I-Divine Palette – V2 (matte) – £7.99

Sleek create amazing budget make-up, their eyeshadows are creamy and pigmented. Highly recommend you have a wander to your local Superdrug to have a swatch if you’re yet to try the brand out.

Charlotte Tilbury – Nocturnal Cat Eyes To Hypnotise – The Huntress & Amber Moon – £29

Charlotte is the queen of the sexy smokey eye and this new product launch is perfect for that autumn smoulder.

Cosy Candles

Yankee Candle – Cosy By The Fire – £21.99 (large)

A warm mix of ginger, clove, and orange combines with woody notes to give the snap of a crackling fire and the comfort of a hot aromatic drink beside it

Diptyque – Feu de Bois – £40 (190g)

Feu de Bois is an unusual warm and woody fragrance. Its smouldering aroma captures burning embers with the smokey warmth of Lapsang Tea to create a unique, slightly mysterious scent.

That’s our autumn edit, now I’m off to put the heating on and start a new Netfilx series.
